Changes to my study programme

 Hello everyone, today I am going to write about some things that I think should be changed about the study program in the architecture career.

 

I have studied architecture at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Chile since 2019. So now I will say the things that I think are missing and the things that could be improved in the program, in the curriculum and in the infrastructure.

 

I would reduce math and physics hours in the early years, and put in more hours to learn to draw.

 

I think that observation, learning to synthesize and make good sketches is very important.

 

It is something that I would like to improve personally.

 

Then I would do a subject that considers the technique of drawing by hand and then on the computer.

 

now in terms of infrastructure I would change several things.

 

I think the faculty needs a good casino, a place to rest and above all a place to work.

 

the place where students go to work is very small and many stays outside, it has few tables, few chairs and few outlets.

 

So I think I would allocate an important place so that everyone can do their work smoothly.

 

I think that the workload and duration of the studies should take it more into consideration. There are many hours that students spend in the faculty and have to get home to do the theoretical and practical work and sometimes it is so exhausting that mental health is neglected

    I agree with you, the workload is too high so many of us forget to worry about mental health.

    Hello Manu, yes, I also think that the faculty lacks quality spaces for rest and recreation. Many times it is uncomfortable to be surrounded by pigeons all the time :(

the best holidays ever

  The best holidays ever   In the summer of 2019, when I left school and before entering university, with 3 dear friends, we took a plane to Puerto Natales. I was a little nervous, because we didn't have a real plan and the idea was to go up until we reached Puerto Montt. I thougth we werent going to make it, because the distance ir very long.   In Puerto Natales we take the opportunity to go to Torres del Paine, which is beautiful. then we started to go up to the north. In a couple of days we were in Argentina, in a village called Chalten and from that place we walked to Chile in a 3 day hike. I remember the cold, I had never felt it so intensely, and the wind was very strong.  In Chile, the first village we were in was Candelario Mancilla, a beautiful place and then we took a boat, which left us at the end of the Carretera austral.  And from there we toured many sectors and national parks on foot and by car until we reached Chaitén, and then we took a boat that took us to Puerto

my hobbie

my hobbie  hello everyone, how are you doing with your week? This is already the fifth blog and I am going to talk about my hobbies. and I will answer the following questions about my hobby which is ceramics. How long have I been making ceramics? How did I learn to make ceramics? What does it mean to me? What kinds of things do I do with ceramics? How often do things? I have been making ceramics since I was 10 years old. At that age I entered a workshop, where I went with my friends from school. It was very entertaining and I learned many things. I learned basic techniques and never stopped making ceramics. My teacher was called Paola and she taught me many things. For me making ceramics has a lot of value, it is like a therapy for me, I enjoy it a lot and I relax a lot. In addition, the things you can do are very varied, such as cups, plates, pots, rings, necklaces, ashtrays, whatever happens, it is very entertaining. At the beginning of the pandemic, I had a lot of time to do things.
